Random Christmas Stuff Number 5

When I first saw these photos I thought they were just of some body's house after a snow fall, but on looking closer at the background I realised that this was a model in dolls house scale, I really like the snow effect on the car and the house looks quite cosy too. Can't tell you anything more about this model sadly, but I love it!

  1. WOW! what a great job they did! The trees look good in the front garden. Maybe we'll get a white Christmas too.

  5. Gorgeous!

Fooled me too, popping the car in there certainly gives it another dimension, I will have to check out that movie. So very clever!

Thanks Andy! This is so much fun!

(do you think I'm easily entertained?)

  8. OMG, if you haven't seen 'A Christmas Story,' you have to! I saw this dollhouse in an American dollhouse mag --it was displayed earlier this year at the actual, real-life house (which is now a museum/tourist attraction, thanks to the movie) and the dollhouse was eventually auctioned off for charity.

  9. Hi Simon, I do like the idea of a white Christmas too, but don't like the way the snow and ice linger for weeks after a little snow fall! The model is beautifully crafted, I like the trees too!

  10. Hi Troy, thanks for that sharing that information, I don't think I have ever seen the film, I've just looked at a trailer on Youtube, and saw, allbeit briefly, the house in question! It looks like a fun film, and now I think about it, the images probably came from the museum website, as there were several references to 'leg lamps' that feature in the film!
