Hello Dollies Documentary

A few years ago I remember watching a documentary on Channel 4 called Hello Dollies about people who were dollshouse enthusiasts. They had an amateur dollshouse builder, who had just purchased a house, and they followed as she, and more reluctantly, her partner built the house from a kit, Mulvany and Rogers were on it too and the lovely Caroline Hamilton too! Last night I found in on You Tube via Channel 4OD. I haven't worked out how to add videos to my blog yet, but I think that the link attached should work, if not just search you tube for Hollo Dollies (this might not work outside UK, sorry guys!)

  1. I watched this first time round but it's certainly worth a second viewing.

  2. I really enjoyed watching it again, I remember my house was still in bits when it first aired on TV!

  3. Thanks for that Andy! I could not watch the link you gave us, but after a bit of searching I did find a short impression of it on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUrFowvMS8c where I spotted one of the ladies from my miniature china painting class (in Holland) standing in line of the KDF :)

How long is the TV program? Is it worth purchasing the DVD do you think?

  4. Hi Josje, it's a shame you didn't get to see the whole programme, it's fun to watch, but I would rush out to buy a DVD, not sure if there is one available. It's good that you got to see part of teh show, and someone you recognised! (small world eh!! if you'll pardon the dollshouse pun there!) thanks for posting the link to the clip you found.
