Who Knows Where The Time Goes?

Can it really be the 8th of April already? I saw with some surprise that my last post was back in February, what happened to March? It really does only seem a week ago since I was last posting on my blog, but the past month has rushed by in such a blur, I find myself plunging deep into April!

I had a lovely birthday, and had lots of little treats all of that week (not least Fi's wonderful little birthday post, and her Pineapple mug she sent me; once I had worked out it was from her!!).  AM sent me a copy of Le Grand Livre De La Maison Miniature for my birthday too, which was so very kind, and is a lovely book! (What HAS happened to AM, B.T.W?)

I also visited two dolls house fairs and went to a dolls house shop in the Cotswolds last month. More on all of those another time.

I promise to do the first book review I promised to do ages ago, as soon as possible! I have managed to keep up with most blogs I follow, and apologise if I have failed to leave a comment, I will do my best to rectify that as soon as possible also!!

The video above is one of my favourite songs, sung by Sandy Denny, who was a singer in the band Fairpoint Convention, until her sad, untimely death. I am sure you'll agree that she had a fabulous voice, and the song is both beautiful and moving. (Nina Simone has done a nice cover version of this song too!).

(I don't think my blog is an appropriate place for politics, but the tune above could just as easily have been Ding Dong the Witch is Dead from the Wizard of Oz!!  Ding Dong! the Witch is dead, which old witch? The Wicked Witch! Ding Dong the Wicked Witch is dead!!!!')

  3. Hi Andy,

You know I think a lot of us have been in the same situation, march just flew by.I'm glad you enjoyed your Birthday and your various surprises, including AM's book, I agree he seems to have disappeared in the same puff of smoke he arrived in.....I have no idea whats going on and suspect we may never know.

Now as for dead Witches.....is there something about you and leading ladies??? I gather this one didn't meat your approval either?

You have to stop over at my blog Andy, I have asked you a question......

    Great to see you back!!!

  5. I fear it is a sign of getting older, time seems to pass more quickly - ouch! Thank you for sharing the Sandy Denny song, she did have an enchanting voice, I had never heard of her and now I want to hear more. What a tragedy to lose her at such a young age. I look forward to seeing your booty (from the Fairs).

  6. Yes; sometimes, daily life absorbs us so much we don't have time to work on our miniatures or leave comments on blogs.... but from your post I gather I kept inspired by the lovely book AM sent you, the fairs you visited and the posts you looked at. That's a good thing!
By the way; just like you I wonder how AM is doing.....I'm a bit concerned, remembering his last post about his hurting arm....

  11. Welcome back!! March did seem to go by rather quick didn't it I know I had a ton of things that I wanted to do and none of them got done but I still have April.

Nice song Iam afraid I'd have to be baked to appreciate it (but since my college days are far behind me that's not gonna be happening anytime soon) as for A.M. he was doing some remodeling and just fell off the face of the earth..I wonder what happened to him

    welcome back
