Firstly, I must say hello and thank you to Carol over at Mitchymoo Miniatures. Who sent me a beautiful mother-of-pearl dressing table set as part of her very generous giveaway back in March.
I have been meaning to post a picture of them for a while, but having placed them in one of the smaller bedrooms in the Georgian house, they weren't easy to see. Eventually I decided that they would look better in the bedroom of the Swan Inn, so that is where they are now; and very nice they look too.
They are a bit hard to see in the picture above so I tried to get a closer image, not much success though!!
Once again Carol, many many thanks for the lovely gift!! xxx
And now for a sad goodbye...
I was very sorry to hear that Trevor Jiggins has decided to retire from making miniatures due to ill-heath.
Trevor and his wife Margaret of Dovetail Miniatures are a lovely couple, and I was lucky enough to be able to purchase some of his miniatures in the past. The picture above is the last item I bought from Trevor at the recent Kensington Dolls' House Festival; a Waring and Gillow shevret, which is now standing proudly in the Georgian House Drawing Room!
I hope you have a long, happy and healthy retirement Trevor!!
